A Gentle First Step
If you are feeling overwhelmed, unheard, or unsure how to communicate safeguarding concerns about an abusive co-parent in a way Cafcass or the family court will understand, this 30-minute call offers a safe starting space to talk things through.
Because the time is short, the focus is not on covering everything at once. Instead, it gives you a calm, steady place to begin sharing what has been happening, speak openly without judgement or minimisation, and start making sense of the concerns that feel most pressing right now.
We gently explore the key issues on your mind, whether that is your child’s behaviour, patterns of coercive control, hostile communication, or how professionals are responding. You will receive brief, focused guidance to help you feel a little clearer and more grounded.
During the call, we look at:
how to begin framing your concerns in clear, child centred safeguarding language
what to prioritise when preparing to speak with Cafcass or the court
ways to reduce the risk of your concerns being reframed as “conflict”
initial steps you can take to feel steadier and more prepared
This session is ideal if you are feeling stuck, unsure where to begin, or simply need a safe space to talk before deciding what kind of support you might need next.
At the end of the call, we can discuss whether a 60 minute or 90 minute session would be the most helpful next step, depending on the depth of your situation and the level of support you feel you need moving forward
