Communication Specialist for Protective Parents
I support protective parents navigating child arrangements with abusive or coercive co-parents.
With over 20 years’ specialist experience in mental health, child safeguarding, domestic abuse, and coercive control, I bring both professional expertise and lived understanding to this work.

Through Origami Ltd, I deliver family-focused psychosocial therapy interventions to executive partners within accountancy firms. I specialise in supporting individuals with separation, child arrangement negotiations, and adjustment to parenthood.

I also provide dedicated support to mothers in the perinatal period who are navigating child protection processes, safeguarding assessments, and family court scrutiny during an already vulnerable time.

Why I Do This Work
My work is deeply personal as well as professional.
After becoming a mother in 2020, I found myself navigating co-parenting in the shadow of emotional abuse. My safeguarding concerns were minimised. Incidents were treated as isolated events. The wider pattern was not recognised.

Like many protective parents, I experienced the exhaustion of covert bullying, destabilising communication, and the constant fear that harm would only be acknowledged once it became undeniable.

What became painfully clear was this: Emotional and psychological abuse, specifically coercive control, is incredibly difficult to communicate — especially to systems focused on reaching agreements rather than fully understanding risk.

That experience shaped the focus of my work today.
